Trailer Park Social Beauty Contest is Saturday, May 31
“Truly one of the most fun and entertaining events to ever come out of
Georgia!”
Hello! First I would like to say thank you for allowing me to be the host for the 2008 Miss Cow Patty Pageant. I expect that our contest will be a fun and exciting event. For those of you that do not know me allow me to introduce myself: I am MISS UMA STEPHENS. I come to you from the Sunshine State by the way of Tampa, Florida. Raising money for charity is something that is not new for me, as I have been fortunate to win five titles back in Tampa which helped open doors for me to perform at local charity events. I am so happy that I can bring my talent here to help GGRA.
But enough about me... here is what I need from you. As you know, Miss Cow Patty is a entertaining fundraiser for our GGRA charities along with raising the money need to bring the rodeo back to Atlanta in 2009. In my short time here in Georgia I have heard lots of quuestions aboutwhen the rodeo will be held again. Well folks, we cannot do this with out your help. As you know it takes quite a bit of money to put on a large rodeo such as ours.
So with that in mind we need contestants for this years event. So imagine MORE CONTESTANTS in Miss Cow Patty = MORE MONEY RAISED TO BRING THE RODEO BACK. It is really that simple!
This year's theme is a TRAILER PARK SOCIAL: camp drag at its best. The date is set for May 31 2008, starting time is 7:00 p.m. held at The Wild Mustang. There are three fun judged categories and one simple non-judged category:
Non-Judged
- Presentation this is where the audience gets to see you first so think of something fun and trailer park trashy to wear to say HI to the nice folks
Judged
- Evening wear ( think, now what would the hooker down in lot 69 wear, and you have your evening wear)
- Talent (5 minute max with a 1min. set up and 1 min. break down time)
- Question and Answer
The entry fee is only $20. So now watch the latest Jerry Springer Show and get ready to compete for the title of Miss Cow Patty 2008.
If you have any questions or wish to let me know that you want to compete you may email me at . I look forward to seeing y'all on May 31st!

The 2009 Southern Spurs Rodeo Needs You!!
We will be holding the first Rodeo Roundtable meeting on Friday, May
16, 2008 at Jason's Deli on 10th Street in Midtown (just across from
Blake's at 10th and Piedmont). Meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. Don't
forget just after the meeting is our Eagle bar night. So come have
dinner, help us get started on the 2009 rodeo then join us for a fun
night at the Atlanta Eagle.
I plan to make the meeting short, sweet and to the point. There are a
few things that need to be put in motion soon. If you are interested
in any aspect of working with the rodeo please join us. If you're not
sure what you can do, we can match you with something that is needed.
It takes a lot of people to put on a rodeo and we have a job ahead of
us.
I thank all of you in advance,
Sam Polk,
2008 Rodeo Director
Fun in the Sun in Florida
A great group of GGRA members traveled to Fort Lauderdale over the first weekend of April for the third annual Sunshine Stampede rodeo. Our friends from the Florida Gay Rodeo Association hosted another terrific rodeo, with over 4,600 people attending the two-day event. Congratulations to our GGRA contestants and volunteers.
